Burnham and Highbridge Karate Club was founded in 1979 and is the longest running Karate club in the Burnham-on-Sea area. We practice a style of Karate called Wado-Ryu, and we are proud to be a member of the Kenshukai Wado-ryu Karate-do which is affiliated to the English Wado Federation - English Karate Federation and the Southwest Wado Alliance.

The club is fortunate enough to have four instructors, which helps maintain a high teacher to student ratio. The clubs chief instructor, Nick Smith holds the rank of 7th Dan.

Other instructors include Derek Osborn (4th Dan), Jason Tanner (4th Dan) and Matthew Smith (3rd Dan).
